Service Leadership: Creating A Bulging Bottom-line Life

Sevice Leadership in the 21st Century means delivering on-purpose and with concentrated intent toward transforming the mental processes and environment where we succeed by serving the whole of the organization and not merely the top ranking minority positions . This new inclusive and authentic leadership dynamic, dramatically shifts perceptions of historically Hierarchical Leadership (Management-strata) to a more advanced equalitarian or what is known as 'Flat Line' Leadership. It means that the power structure within any organization is balanced more evenly for a healthier, productive and certainly, a more abundant life experience.

Service Leadership when faithfully pursued transforms any service or product driven company into an environment of success as respect for the whole of each individual becomes a pipeline of positive, creative and strategically minded teams and this ease of service automatically delivers to its customers, clients and or/guests.

Hierarchical dominated businesses are failing all around us. Enron is just one of many that have been publicized. Far more have imploded on themselves and their failures have betrayed their dependents who believed in their leadership. It’s time for transformation. Many corporations and their smaller counterparts are being led by a failing prototype and yet hold tightly even when it is infectiously destroying the very core value of doing business; progressive success.

Successful leadership in the 21st Century means entering into a new set of negotiation that rely on co-working and collaboration, instead of a few chosen leaders who competitively position themselves on some hierarchal ladder by default-despotism that separates a few from the very substantive whole of the us from one another and creates destructive and debilitating stress due to an autocratic working environment.

People reach their goals and their highest potential mental, emotional and spiritual, by experiencing freedom of choice. Co-working and collaborative relationships invites everyone to have a vested interest in the success of themself and their co-workers. ( including the Owner and/or CEO) This collaborative, self-leading business structure will transform the currently failing business structure and an unequaled bulging bottom line will result. Isn’t this type of shift in business and personal perception the cornerstone to creating a new level of abundant living that we all seek, individually and collectively?

Abundance may come in many different forms. It may enter into your life in the form of a friendship, an intimate relationship, a promotion at work, an award for your expertise, an in-kind gift, creating multiple streams of income and more. Yet, abundance in all its myriad of forms cannot be created in fear. We create abundance in our lives by a disciplined mind that feeds our emotions (power source)and purposeful actions that are expressed in a positive, mutually supportive environment.

The key to abundant living is a shift in our perception to live a life of purposeful service. Holding onto personal agenda's and thinking, feeling and reacting in fear, perpetuates lack in our lives. Service Leaders never think or feel or react due to the feeling of lack. There is no other way to create abundance in our lives but to live in service to one another. Remember the times when you have truly served another, freely and without a personal agenda. How did you feel? Did you receive, in return, more than you gave? Perhaps you didn't receive immediately, yet if you think about it, your service to another has brought into your life a great deal of abundance. It's the Law of Attraction at work. Be grateful. Service plus Gratitude creates abundance.

The word 'servant,' originates from the Latin word, sacrare, meaning consecrated or holy. In other words, sacred. Shifting our perceptions from fear into a life of sacred service is the foundation for becoming a true Leader. Understanding that we are the leaders of our own lives and taking full responsibility for our thoughts, feelings and actions is paramount in becoming a Leader and creating abundant living.

Business Leadership in the 21st Century is beginning to shift the structural tides from achieving success through co-working and cooperating. Consciously building a variety of communities in our lives that serve one another for their highest good and bulging bottom-lines in business is slowly shifting. We can sense it now. Consider the thousands upon thousands who are leaving this unhealthy business structure to work for themselves. They are fed up with the structure of fear-based, competitive hierarchal business structures that set a constant tension that creates overwhelm, confusion and chaos. This unhealthy lifestyle is slowly falling apart; imploding on itself. Whether you are a company Owner, CEO, General Manager, part of a Management Team, Sales Director or front-line personnel. All have an equal responsibility to openly and honestly lead their personal and business life with the highest standard of community integrity that their ever-evolving awareness allows.

Leadership Coaching/Consulting means training power leaders that understand that their success, abundance and healthy lives depends upon what I call Leadership Service. Yet, statistics in 2004 tell us that the lifetime of a CEO in any given Corporation is only 3 to 5 years. Amazed? I was, initially. Yet, if you think about it, our human bodies were not built to withstand this kind of constant, debilitating fear-based tension. Our bodies, minds and emotions have had enough. Our very survival depends upon it. Why do you think that CEO's are now either voluntarily leaving their positions with Corporations or are involuntarily being asked to leave? There are two major reasons why anyone leaves a position at any level or is asked to leave.

Business experience proves that the majority of people that leave a company that are expressing a 'flat-line,' non-autocratic leadership style, voluntarily, is primarily due to their inability to work within a Service Leadership design, where everyone in the organization is equally invested in the success of each individual co-worker, themself and the 'big-picture' or macrocosmic purpose of the organization; to offer the best service and or product available to insure a bulging bottom-line. When people are not self-motivated, self-responsible or have self-respect, then these employees cannot find a comfort zone to remain with the company. In the long-run, their leaving supports the strength that a 'flat line' leadership approach demands. An organization of any kind 'is only as strong as its weakest link.'

These self-defeating employees who left the company, voluntarily, did so because they were unable to shift their perception from being a mere low-status employee to becoming a self-created leader within the organization. Some people refuse to take responsibility for themself, let alone for others on their team. Everyone fails and none reach their highest potential when we do not self-manage and the outcome is inevitably a self-battering life of imbalance and the high cost of overwhelming stress.

Co-working and collaboration is so foreign to their (dare I say) victim attitudes about life that they are incapable of meeting the minimum standards of performance. It matters not, if these standards are self-defined or not. These employees usually create distancing due to resentments within themself as they become more and more frustrated as their self-managing co-workers succeed and they fail. The successful co-workers are far more leadership-driven and meet their responsibilities through mutual cooperative and collaborative agreed upon strategies and clearly defined performance. This methodology is the pivotal point of their evolutionary achievements. Collaborative-Leadership powers both business and personal success.

Employees, at all levels of a flat-line leadership structure are asked to leave, involuntarily, based on two major factors. The first factor being, attitude. The second factor being performance. Naturally, no one will succeed in performance without embracing a positive and co-leadership-driven performance approach.Whether you are a solo-preneur who is dependent on their network, a part of a small business or a member of a large corporation, the structure of Hierarchal Leadership is falling apart. It is imploding on itself. The tension has been held far too long and too tightly to survive much longer. All we have to do is read the newspapers every day or watch the news on television or read Times or Newsweek.

The reasons for companies imploding on themselves, may be cloaked in a disguise of finger-pointing and weightless justification, yet the truth is that the time has arrived to develop a new, healthier, more abundantly equalitarian Service-Leadership structure that is guaranteed to produce a bulging bottom-line so all may benefit.

Enjoy the Magic of Prosperity

There is an art and a science to prosperity. The art is playing with the magic of prosperity. The science is aligning with the physics of prosperity.

Play at Life!

Why does the money run out? Why doesn't passion stay around? Why doesn't health last?

Perhaps because we're not playing. Instead, we're analyzing and strategizing. By not being innocent, open, willing, spontaneous and flexible, we kill the magic of natural prosperity.

Results are important in life. And life works out best when played like a kid's game -- in the spirit of a fun adventure between two best friends. When approached lightly -- not as a deadly serious contest -- life actually responds more readily to our wishes.

Ride the Pulse of Prosperity

Just like the body's circulatory system, prosperity has a pulse, a rhythm. When we're willing to go along with the pace and pattern of life's changes, we prosper. When we tighten up, hold back, or try to control or micro-manage life's vacillations, we cut ourselves off from life's natural bounty. The magic dies.

Prosperity is an inner feeling or space -- an experience of oneself as joyful and flourishing. Outer events are the reflections of how you have been flowing from your Source Energy. This is what a good creator does -- flow energy.

You can attract prosperity with your personal magnetism. As you focus your attention on your dream, the Law of Attraction brings your desires to you automatically.

True prosperity is having what you choose to have as you choose to have it.

Here are a few effective, pragmatic ways to tap into the River of Plenty.

Master the Law of Giving and Receiving

When you give freely of your gifts and talents, you receive back in kind. The key to success here is how you give, not what you give. When you come from a place of bountiful giving, you receive plentifulness in return. When you give from a place of lack or limitation (for example, expecting something in return as a pay-off), you receive back the same vibration or quality -- a reflection of lack and limitation. When you give from a space or energy of fear (scarcity consciousness), the universe mirrors that poverty back to you.

Align Your Personality with Your Soul

Align your personality's actions and attitudes with your soul purpose and passion -- and your life will unfold in a profoundly easy, delightful and bountiful way.

Walk with an Appreciative Heart

What you appreciate in life appreciates -- increases, grows. The more aspects of life you appreciate, the richer you become inwardly -- and, in turn, outwardly, according to the Law of Attraction.

Prosperity Begets Prosperity

Prosperity is a living, organic state of being. Prosperity defies the laws of economics in that it's not a commodity that we have less of when we give some away. Prosperity grows greater for the giver as it's given. The more you share, the more you end up receiving. Give and you shall attract. Nature does abhor a vacuum!

Draw from Your Prosperity Consciousness Bank Account

Vibrations of good times can be stored up for retrieval during challenging times. Prosperous times can remind you emotionally and physically of how the vibration of happiness feels -- and shift you palpably into those good vibes in the present.

Experientially re-living peak moments from the past is more transforming than mentally remembering an event. "Positive experiencing" is even more powerful than "positive thinking."

Make Room for Miracles

Create the attitude and conditions that make miracles more likely to occur. Fear less and dare more. Invite surprise. Welcome serendipity. Be open to unexpected sources of income, resources and support -- especially those that don't "make sense" to the intellect with its limited range of possibilities.

And stay open to invisible assistance from your spirit friends -- be they angels, Ascended Masters or spirit guides.

Ask "Why not?"

Take the road less traveled. Be different, creative, fluid, experimental. See fresh possibilities, better combinations, and new opportunities and challenges where others see problems or limitations. Exude excitement and enthusiasm about daily life. The electromagnetic energy of this exuberant, open attitude will attract magic, meaning and money into your world.

Quit Energizing the Past

The past only exists to the degree we unconsciously drag it into the present. Take charge of how yesterday affects your today. Regard the past as an eternal stream of "practice takes" that allow you to "get it right" in this moment! And energize only the elements of the past that feed the plentiful reality you are creating now.

Forgive ... then Forgive Some More!

By learning to forgive ourselves and others, we give ourselves the gift of freedom from the past. Forgiveness loosens the debilitating constraints of anger, resentment, cynicism, regret and despair -- and releases our hearts to swell with aliveness and compassion. Give yourself and others Blanket Forgiveness -- now!

Take Charge of the Present Moment

"Now" is the only time you can control. All success and bounty flows from the power of the vibration you are in each moment. By learning to be present in the current moment -- in the "current" of the moment -- you naturally receive the treasures that it carries.

Feng-shui Your Life!

Give yourself a "Spacelift." By intuitively re-arranging the elements of your daily life, you can create the quality of time and space that will increase your ability to receive abundance. Clear your path of illusions and lies so that your creating attention flows solely to your dreams, not to the distractions and myths of life.

Tap the Power of Surrender

Worry serves as a signal that we must tend to some aspect of life. But when we have done all that we do for the moment, it's time to let go of anxiety and surrender to Universal Support. When intense emotions arise -- whether delight or grief, excitement or fear -- abandon yourself to them. Don't hold on! Relax that death grip on your feelings -- and, in doing so, on the inflow of life's aliveness and bounty!

Feel Extravagantly

Feel the pain as well as the joy. Shake with fear. Let the anger rise up and roar! If you're not truly feeling, you're not truly alive -- you're just going through the paces. You're only having a NLE -- Near-Life Experience.

You can't have money, love and health without feeling your emotions. Primal Life Force is the energy that animates all of life's rewards. That same exact energy comprises the essence of all emotion. The core natures of prosperity and emotion are one and the same: Source Energy. Make friends with your feelings and you open the floodgate to easy, natural abundance in your life!

Is it REALLY O.K. to want more?

We cannot help but continue to create through our desires and thoughts.
This week, a coaching client asked me this question: "Rebecca, is it REALLY o.k. to want to create more and more and more? Aren't we supposed to be content with just a few things?"

The answer that came from my Inner Being was so delicious! "Was God, the Creative Force, content to create the earth, sun, moon and a few stars and planets? NO! The Master Creator created more and more and more--infinitely MORE galaxies, infinitely MORE stars, infinitely MORE comets, infinitely MORE nebulae--the Universe is endless! No matter how far out into deep space the Hubble Space Telescope goes it will still be viewing MORE and MORE and MORE." I believe that even MORE is being created in every moment.

If we are the physical extention of the nonphysical creative force...

If we are "made in the image and likeness of God"... If we are here on earth to be powerful creators (sons and daughters of God)...

--then we cannot help but continue to create through our desires and thoughts.

What Is A Home Based Travel Agent?

Many people are unclear about the travel industry. Travel agents are often thought to be the same as real estate agents. Becoming a travel agent or more specifically a home based travel agent is an exciting career change or retirement option. Some people do it full time while many do it as a part time business.

A travel agent books travel for customers and is paid by suppliers a commission on the booking. For bookings that suppliers do not pay a commission on, a travel agent also can charge the client a service fee for his/her time. An example is if you were to book a hotel for a client, the hotel would then send a check to the agency after the client checked out. Most hotels pay 10% of the price of the hotel before taxes and fees. A $100 per night hotel reservation would mean $10 a night for the travel agent who made the booking. This hotel would cost the same whether the customer uses a travel agent or books through the hotel directly. In many cases the travel agent can get a better price. It costs the customer nothing to use the travel agent unless the travel agent charges service fees.

Can anyone do this? In order to work with suppliers, you must have an account set up with the supplier. Most require an agency to hold an IATAN, CLIA or ARC number. IATAN stands for International Airlines Travel Agent Network. CLIA stands for Cruise Lines International Association. ARC stands for Airline Reporting Corporation. Each of these memberships requires different things including sales, money in the bank, experience or training in the industry, and membership fees. Many will require Errors and Omissions insurance of $1,000,000 or more.

For the average travel agent, membership is not a possibility with some organizations so the agent will team up with an agency and work as an independent agent or outside agent. There are also advantages of working with an agency because most travel agents cannot make enough in sales with a particular supplier to obtain higher commission levels and bonuses. Working with an agency with many agents can increase the commission percentages the agent gets because of the joint sales of all the agents at the agency. Support is also a very important aspect of being a successful agent. Agents who do not work with others tend to feel more isolated and have to learn to do it all solo. Since no agent can have the experience of being everywhere in the world or staying at every hotel or resort, having others that you can get advice from is really helpful.

The future of travel agencies is always questioned. The truth is the industry has changed in many ways. Some changes were for the better, some for the worse. Many airlines have cut commissions for travel agents. However, there are many other suppliers who are paying travel agents more than they were ten years ago. Cruises used to be booked by only the rich and now people in every income book cruises. Each year more and more people go on cruises. Most people say they want to go on a cruise at least once and many who go on their first come home to want to book another.

You can earn commission on many travel reservations.

People all need travel arrangements at some point in time. Those who take road trips need hotel reservations. Those who need to travel for business need airline tickets, rental cars, and hotel reservations. Families want to experience vacations with their loved ones. People visit family and relatives. Most people who win money say they are going to spend it to take a nice vacation. Newly married couples go on honeymoons. You are not selling something that is hard to sell. People contact you for help, you are not calling them or approaching them trying to sell them something they don’t want.

Educating the public is the main thing any travel agent must do. Most people put travel agents into the same category as real estate agents. They believe it costs additional to use a travel agent. This is untrue. In many cases a travel agent can get a better price than the general public through the suppliers who work only with travel agents. Many people do not know all the options for booking a vacation. A good travel agent does. Once people are educated on how a travel agent gets paid, they are more willing to work with travel agents. If a person knows that if he or she let you book a hotel and it will cost the same price regardless, she or he will work with you. It is important to let people know how you can help them save time and money on their travel arrangements.

So how do you get into the industry? Many people think they must go to school or become certified. This is not true. You can get into the industry and begin training. I don’t recommend anyone spend thousands on a travel school until he or she knows this is a career that he or she will really want to pursue. The truth is you do not have to spend thousands to get trained. There are many courses free to travel agents from suppliers. There are also organizations such as ICTA (Institute of Certified Travel Agents) who offer courses as you get more years experience in the industry. CLIA also offers courses. There are some agencies that will offer training. Even if you decide this is a career you would like to pursue, you do not need to spend thousands to become an educated and competent travel agent. There are many courses you can take with suppliers and organizations to get a better education in travel. I truly believe a hands’ on approach is the best way to become a better travel agent. Learning to work with suppliers and how to find the information your clients need is an important part of becoming a good travel agent.

How can you find an agency to work with? There are a few organizations dedicated to independent travel agents. NACTA and OSSN are the top organizations. NACTA stands for National Association of Commissioned Travel Agents. OSSN stands for Outside Sales Support Network. You can also search online for home-based travel agent programs. I would never recommend anyone spending a lot of money to start this business. It is key to first try and see if it is something you would really want to do and get training before you invest too much money into it. Get involved in the industry first and see if it is really a career that is best for you.

Use the Law of Attraction to Build Your Business

Have you ever had something you wanted just fall into place; come to you through an out-of-the-blue phone call or by coincidentally meeting someone on the street? Have you ever met the perfect client or life partner--just by being at the right place at the right time?

Many of us have various ways to describe this phenomenon; serendipity, coincidence, fate, karma, luck, it was meant to be, self-fulfilling prophecy, what comes around goes around, and success breeds success. All of these expressions describe what is known as the Law of Attraction.

Law of Attraction can be defined as: You attract to your life whatever you give your attention, focus and energy to, whether wanted or unwanted.

If you wish to attract more money, referrals, clients, contracts, business partners, or anything else your heart desires, it is essential to understand the workings of the Law of Attraction.

The first step is to know more about our use of Declarative Statements and how they contribute to Law of Attraction. A Declarative Statement is a positive statement of what we want to attract, that elevates our mood or feeling. Examples include: "I love the way money comes to me effortlessly in expected and unexpected ways.", "It feels so good knowing that business comes to me in all seasons." and, "I love the way my reputation attracts clients to me."

When people fail, it's often because they have unconsciously made Declarative Statements to themselves that are negative, such as: "Money comes in one hand and out the other.", "I take one step forward and two steps back." or, "My business slows down during the summer months." These statements have negative feelings and moods attached to them.

Re-read the definition of Law of Attraction: We attract into our lives whatever we give our attention to, whether wanted or unwanted. Law of Attraction responds to these negative feelings and gives us more of them. Law of Attraction does not know whether it is something you want or not; it simply responds to your mood or feeling and gives you more of it.

Each time you hear yourself make a Declarative Statement that does not serve you, simply restate it and offer a better mood or feeling. Here is a quick way to turn a negative statement into a positive Declarative Statement.

Simply ask yourself: "So, what do I want?"

The moment you define what you do want, you start to experience a new mood or feeling, and Law of Attraction will respond to this better mood or feeling.

Over the next few days, start to notice what is appearing in your life, that is, what you are attracting. Then think back to what mood or feeling you may have offered that could have attracted what appeared. You'll soon find yourself manifesting more and more of what you do want, and less of what you don't want, by deliberately putting the Law of Attraction to work for you.

First and foremost, goal setting establishes a sense of purpose and order in our lives. When we develop a goals consciousness we begin to live on purpose and by design, rather than be blown by the winds of change. Goals give clarity to the objectives and expectations that we have of our
on-line businesses.

In Brian Tracy's new book 'Goals' he states that 'Success is Goals, everything else is commentary'.
In other words, at the core of every great success lies an intensly goal focused person. This is equally true with those striving for success on-line. Success is a hard place to arrive at by accident.

Lets face facts! There are many people on-line today promising that if you will just buy their program, marketing system, traffic generation, MLM opportunity and more you will be
successful and make it big. There are thousands of eZines and Newsletters out there that all claim to have the secret inside information on how to be an Internet Marketing success just
like them. Every other web site offers free eBooks on how to turn the Internet into a cash machine, or to generate a traffic virus. There is just a ton of great quality information out there.

If there is so much information readily available then how come you are still struggling to earn money from your on-line marketing ventures?

No matter how good the information is thats available to you, and no matter how good your online venture, success will avoid you if you lack clarity around your objectives. With clarity
comes certainty and conviction. A lack of clarity leads to your efforts being diluted and your attention easily diverted.

So how do you go about setting goals that are relevant to your on-line business?

A good starting point is to establish goals using the S.M.A.R.T formula. In other words goals have to be:

S - Specific
M - Measurable
A - Achievable
R - Realistic
T - Have a time line

By using the S.M.A.R.T formula you give your brain clear specific objectives to aim at. Your brain works best with clarity. Focusing on, and dwelling constantly on clearly defined objectives sparks your brain with the fire to achieve it. With such clarity your Reticular Activating System will hone in the exact resources, knowledge, skills and opportunitys you need to make
it happen.

What type of goals are required for success in your on-line business?

There are certain fundamentals that you need to be proficient in to be successful in any endeavour. Jim Rohn says that their is usally about a half dozen things that you need to master
that will give you approximately 80% of your results. Success in on-line marketing is no different. In order to establish a successful on-line business you might consider setting specific goals for the following key areas.

1. No of visitors to your web site. Per Day ? Per Week ? Per Month ? Growth rate?

2. No of subscribers to your eZine. ie Of those visiting your site, how many subscribe to your eZine? Whats your conversion rate?

3. No of orders. How good is your sales copy? What is your current conversion rate of visitors to sales achieved? What do you plan to improve this to?

4. How many affiliates do you have? Do you have an affiliate program? If not, when do you plan to have one up and running? How many affiliates do you aim to have? No of sales made by your affiliates?

5. Search Engine locations. How high do you want to aim ? Based on how many key words?

6. Back end products. How many back end products do you wish to develop? How many sales do you plan to make of your back end products? What % of customers do you expect to sell your back end products to.

These are just some example key performance indicators. Your business may be different and require a different set of key performance indicators.

So what should you do from here?

If you wish to unleash the magic power of goal setting in your life then take action right now and complete the following three steps. By doing so you will propell yourself forward into the
category of those who do vs those who dont. Your success will be within your grasp and you will begin to activate the Law of Attraction.

Step 1: Identify the Key Performance Indicators that you need to ensure your success.

Step 2 : Clearly identify where you are at today in each area.

Step 3 : Write clear specific goals for the next 3 months, 6 months and 1 year.

Bonus Step 4 : Write down a vision statement of where you see your on-line business in 5 years time. What will your business look like? What turnover will it produce? What will be your
income from the business? What will your lifestyle be like?

Remember this when goal setting : Most people greatly overestimate ehat they can achieve in 1 year and greatly underestimate what they can achieve in 5 years. 10. Work will go on without us.
If you have ever missed work in order to care for a sick child, attend a school event, or just go fishing or shopping, you know the work you missed was somehow done. I know I now wish I had tested this teaching more frequently.

9. Pace yourself.
Go for 8 or 10 or 12 hours at a hundred and ten per cent, arrive home and then just try to give five minutes at seventy five per cent to an excited child. For some reason, that little person who considers you a hero, God and desirable wants all of you until bedtime! Kids will attempt to teach you to save energy so you can make a sprint to the finish at the end of the day or week.

8. You are the most important person who works there.
My Dad was a Methodist minister for 50 years. I came along towards the end of that career. He knew God was the most important person, closely followed by the janitor, chairman of the board and all of the other members of the church. He was last in line. When I first began to remember at about 5 thru about age 49 when he died, I always thought he was the most important person who worked there. Not even the Bishop could come close!

7. Success is often in direct proportion to attention given.
Children try to teach us that lots of attention creates success. I was one who figured out that lots of attention given to a career made it possible to climb the ladder of success quickly. Eventually, my kids and wife taught me the value of balancing career and family, or should I say I finally learned what they tried to teach me all along!

6. Giving honor comes easy with respect.
When my kids were young, they had great respect for their Mom and Dad. They gave us honor easily and frequently with drawings for the refrigerator and stories from books and their imaginations. When we respect our boss, our employees, our fellow workers, our customers and suppliers, it is much easier to say "Thank You!" All we need to do is let them earn our respect and be respectful.

5. Humor is a serious asset.
Raising kids is serious business. Luckily, kids usually provide ample opportunity for parents to be humored by their antics, struggles and successes. Add a little humor along the career track and you may even find yourself drawing a Dilbert cartoon!

4. Two heads are better than one.
Take on a kid one on one and you have your work cut out for you! Include your spouse in the process and your odds of success increase. Transfer the lesson to marketing, customer service, employee training, and other challenges. Use the expertise of those around you. Allow me a shameless marketing tip: Hire a coach and discover how two heads draw out your own expertise.

3. Attraction works better than whining.
How many times have you said, "Quit your whining or you won't get anything!" You were trying to teach your child to act and behave in an attractive manner. Go and do the same in your own career.

2. A power play is a temporary victory.
I always tell parents, "Avoid power plays with your kids. If you don't, your child will always win." Often I receive a quizzical look with, "But if I ground my child, they lose, right?" Think about it. Those battles are often repeated and what fun is that? Find ways to avoid power plays in your career to elevate yourself.

1. Behind great success is a greater spouse.
It is easier to raise kids with a Mom and a Dad. It is easier to to develop a career when your spouse is supportive. Let your spouse know what your definition of supportive is and remind one another you are both on the same side. The world is yours.

The Prosperous Affiliate Merry-Go-Round

In the affiliate world, just as in the rest of the world,
what goes around comes around.

Here's where I'm coming from . . .

I just finished reading one article too many where the
author proclaims that people don't like to click on what
appears to be an affiliate link.

Why not? Well, here is how the reasoning of the potential
buyer supposedly goes:

• I’ll bet the price is jacked up.
• Maybe the guarantee won't be honored.
• What if they don’t give me all the bonuses?
• Why should some middleman make a buck off me?

So this guy takes his paranoia and stinginess and trudges
off to find the original link. End of story.

Do you see anything wrong with this?

I see everything wrong with it. Or at least now I do, once
I stopped to ponder why I was doing the same thing! I
believe this situation is on the verge of changing and very
quickly. Here’s why…

For one thing, as more and more people are earning money by
promoting other people’s products, affiliate marketing is
becoming more widely regarded as a legitimate business form.

Now, as increasing numbers of people engage in this type of
promotion, it is rapidly becoming common knowledge that if
you buy from an affiliate, you are in actuality buying
directly from the owner or creator of the product. Hence,
the following holds true:

• The price to you, the potential buyer, is the same,
regardless of how you got there.
• The guarantee, which is being issued from the product
owner, is still valid.
• You are set up to receive all bonuses, advertised and
unadvertised, that the owner offers. (In fact, buying from
an affiliate might even net you some extra bonuses!)

And so now, that leaves only the final objection, “Why
should some middleman make a buck off me?”

On the Threshold of a New Paradigm

Living as we are, on the eve of a new level of expanded
consciousness, here are some notions that are quickly
gaining wider acceptance:

• We attract what we focus on.
• We create our own reality.
• We attract to ourselves the same kind of energy that we
send out.

This Law of Attraction is no longer regarded as some
paranormal fluke. Thought power is gaining acceptance as
true and verifiable by quantum physics and our own empirical
evidence.

So what does that have to do with our potential buyer’s
final objection?

Well, when I stopped to examine why I was guilty of
automatically avoiding using an affiliate link, I discovered
that there was no valid reason for doing so. I mean, being
that the bottom line to me is all the same, why should I
want to deny someone his or her fair commission?

I had to admit that such unwarranted stinginess could only
be due to an insidious belief in scarcity. I felt a little
ashamed of myself, but not one to flog myself, I immediately
changed my focus to how to alter my beliefs to something
more desirable.

And what I found is a win-win-win situation.

If a marketer brings a product to my attention or convinces
me of its value or presents it to me at the time I am
willing to buy it, this affiliate has clearly earned his or
her commission. And it’s a pretty sweet deal all the way
around:

• The owner is happy because he has just earned money
for a sale he would probably not have otherwise made.
• The affiliate is happy because his marketing efforts are
paying off.
• I get my product AND I put money into the pockets of
at least two people.

And that makes me happy, because sending money into
circulation sets me up for being on the receiving end. And
giving a figurative pat on the back to the affiliate marketer
raises my vibration to attract the same type of rewards in
my life. And you know what else? It just FEELS so much
better to do it this way.

I think people are unaware of the many ways that poisonous
thinking can still lurk menacingly in their brains, stuffed
away in odd little pockets of stingy behavior like this.

When you stop to consider that so many of us were raised
by parents or grandparents who lived through the Great
Depression, it’s easy to understand how we may have
inherited more from our families than what meets the eye.

But I digress. Let’s just all be part of a prosperity
movement that has no interest in denying anyone their fair
due. After all, there is plenty to go around for everybody.

Just like a carnival carousel, what goes around comes around.

The Great White Yacht

My intention was to write this article with a fairly clear idea of what I
wanted to express. But you know what they say about intentions –
at least good ones?:-)

I came out to my balcony with laptop in tow and I started typing.
However, the impressive powerboats and mammoth lake and ocean
freighters passing by against the magnificent backdrop of the
downtown Detroit skyline soon had my full attention.

I chose to live here just because of this million dollar view, and I
work out here in my ‘second office’ almost every day, so why would
I be so distracted this particular time?

The answer didn’t take long to appear. Coming into view a foot at a
time was this sleek, bright white yacht with blacked-out windows. It
slowly cruised by, as if to say “watch me!” She was indeed a thing
of beauty, all 120 or so feet of her. The ultimate physical statement
of success and achievement!

Suddenly, my pre-conceived notion of how this article was going to
unfold simply flew away, just like the flocks of roosting seagulls do
as I approach them on my morning walk along the river’s edge.

I began to wonder exactly who owned this stunning ship and how
he or she ‘attracted’ it into their life. No doubt the owner was taking
several weeks off, or perhaps even the entire summer, to cruise the
Great Lakes. Or even better, this yacht set to sea in the Caribbean,
headed up the Atlantic seaboard entered the St. Lawrence Seaway
and sailed down through Lake Ontario and Lake Erie to pass by my
balcony - to inspire me!

A lingering look through powerful binoculars made this ultimate
status symbol all the more beautiful!

I returned to reality, wondering who the owner could be.

One thing I can assure you is that someone created a lot of wealth
in order to be able to navigate this vessel past my building at this
most appropriate time!

You might be thinking that this came from inherited money and you
could be right. The point remains, however, that one person, at one
time, with a single idea, put into motion “the seed” that attracted all
the money required to float this multi-million dollar ship down the
Detroit River. Let’s examine this.

For the sake of argument, let’s assume that our “captain” here is
also a captain in the entrepreneurial world. He or she owns or is an
integral part of a successful company or corporation.

As is the case with most real success stories, this entrepreneur
probably started with only “the seed” and a shoestring budget. And
so, the important question becomes: how did this seed grow into
the success it is today?

Ninety-nine-point-nine percent of the answer most likely lies within
the title of this article. They “thought” their way to the top! I can
guarantee you that this entrepreneur “thinks” like the world’s most
successful entrepreneurs. He or she thinks “success thoughts”.

Are you wondering what success thoughts are?

Success thoughts are simply those powerful and empowering
thoughts you think, minute-to-minute, hour-by hour, day-to-day,
every day, that set into motion the Universal Law of Attraction –
what you think is what you get! Think success – achieve success.

Henry Ford thought success thoughts.

Thomas Edison thought success thoughts.

Tony Robbins and Donald Trump think success thoughts, each and
every day, as often as they can!

As human beings, we are all subject to slacking off, and no person
can honestly remain in totally “positive mode” every second of every
waking hour. However, the simple yet powerful rule is that your
thoughts dictate what happens to you, not only in business, but
also in your personal life. Think good thoughts – get good things in
return. Think GREAT thoughts – get GREAT results! Change your
belief system – change your results!

Don’t believe me?

Here’s what Henry Ford had to say on the subject: “Whether you
think you can or whether you think you can't, you're right!”

Modern day master motivator Tony Robbins chimes in: “If you do
what you've always done, you'll get what you've always gotten.”
(this HAS to make sense to you:-)

Famous author, Dr. Joyce Brothers, offers this pearl: “Success is a
state of mind. If you want success, start thinking of yourself as a
success.”

The Reverend Robert Schuller says: “The only place where your
dream becomes impossible is in your own thinking.”

Donald Trump has it: “If you're going to be thinking, you may as
well think big.”

I wouldn’t dare put myself into the same category as the above
icons but I can tell you in no uncertain terms that EVERY time I
have reaped the financial benefits and personal satisfaction from
having a project become successful, I WAS thinking the “right
stuff”!

Reflecting back on my entrepreneurial path, I can see that almost
every time a project failed, I was not “in-tune” with the universe nor
was I “thinking success thoughts”. I was thinking limiting, negative
thoughts, such as how much money I was spending developing the
project or how much time was being spent to complete it or worse,
visualizing it as a failure, which is exactly what it became!

This is no coincidence. It’s a Universal Law. Change your thinking –
change your results!

Even The Bible says it’s so: “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.
[Proverbs 23:7]”

So, the burning question becomes: “Can YOU Think Your Way to
the Top!?”

And here’s the real answer: “YES, You CAN Think Your Way to the
Top by thinking the very same success thoughts as the world’s
most successful entrepreneurs!”

Let me leave you with the chorus lyrics of a song I co-wrote called
“I Will” with the hope they will begin to get you thinking the right
stuff!:

The strength I need to make the change
Is deep inside of me
I’ll Walk where I have crawled

How to Survive Lean Times When You're a Solopreneur

Building a viable coaching practice takes time, sometimes months or years before your practice is self-sustaining. Here are some ways to supplement your income in lean times, generate money quickly when you need it, and make productive use of the extra time.


1. Take a temporary job or part-time job that still allows you time to coach clients and build your practice.

It generates income, but also extends your reach. You'll meet new people who might need your coaching services Everyone's curious about temps! You'll also get a taste of different offices which will make you a better coach in the long run.


2. Have sources of passive revenue -- tapes, ebooks, Internet courses.

Run a special. If they buy in the next two weeks, they get half price. Give a Bonus -- buy one, get one free.


3. Make a push for referrals. Offer a bonus for referrals.

We so often forget to ask our current clients to recommend us to their friends! You should always be working referrals, but at low times, go back over your list. Email, phone, or ezine your list asking for referrals. Don't forget to ask other coaches for referrals.


4. Go back over the 80-20 principle.

20% of your efforts and clients probably account for 80% of your revenue and return. Go back over your data and see where the 20% is.


In doing that, you'll re-find the 'sphere of influence' clients who've referred a lot of other clients to you or helped you in other ways. Take this time to take them out to lunch, write them a thank you note or call them and ask them how they're doing.


5. Amp up your sig on your emails.

Make your sig work for you.


6. Use the motivation to make cold calls.


7. Use the time to make your practice lean and mean.

Shop around. Find a cheaper ezine service, Virtual Assistant, web host, or computer tech. Get a lower LD rate.


8. Get a Virtual Assistant and delegate.

Delegate some maintenance chores that'll allow you more time to market your practice and attend to your clients. It's the Law of Attraction. When I turned the logistics of my Distance Learning School over to my VA, I got an immediate surge in students (who pay) and also coaching clients. It's like they knew I had more time!


9. Get out more!

You have the spare time! In my days as a fundraiser, I found all sorts of lunch-time events "open to the public." Some cost money, some don't, but they all give you exposure. Once you get on the circuit, your calendar will be full. Sitting around a lunch table waiting for the speaker is a great time to talk about coaching!


10. Introduce a new product to your "old" clientele.

If they've bought from you before and found it to be of value, they'll want to again. Introduce a new product (course, teleclass, ebook), or a new form of coaching. Coaching is a new field, and clients sometimes don't know all we offer. A "business" client may not know that you do "relationship" coaching.

How To Start, Survive, and Finish Your Journey To Super Succ

"The more you hate, the more you love."

What an ironic statement. Whoever said those words must
have been drunk. The bottom line is this: It is extremely
difficult to like or love something that you despise.

But what can we do to solve this dilemma? What if you're
trapped in an environment that you don't want to be involved
in? What if you're sick and tired of your job that you
feel like puking every time someone mentions your work?

Of course, you take inspired and motivated action to
get out of your present rut and start living the life
you've always dreamed of.

Guess what? It's not going to be easy. You will have to
come out of your comfort zones to discover potentials and
opportunities waiting for you. You have to conquer your
fear and take calculated risks. You have to stay focused
and persevere despite the difficulties you will encounter.

Success doesn't come easy. It takes heart and passion. It
may also take some time before you can actually reap the
fruits of your labor.

But how do you actually survive this stage? This is the
moment when you're working extra hard to reach your goals.
This is also the instance when you're enduring whatever
adversity hits you.

For example, you're employed in a job that you hate. You
know deep inside that you would not like to stay in the
rat race throughout your life. So you decided to engage
in a part-time business or to study night courses. Good
move, my friend.

So far so good. A few days later, time started running
out for you. Your family complains that you've never
spoken a word to them in such a long time. You're
getting crazy over your very hectic schedule. Soon
enough, your attitude changes negatively. You get mad
and frustrated over the tiniest setbacks. You hate the
world for all the misery it has brought upon you.

Stop right now!

That is not the way to go. You are attracting negative
elements into your life. Yes, you have to work harder,
dig deeper, and sacrifice more to attain your ambitions.
But no, you don't have to hate the world and feel bad
about your difficult situation. Remember the Law of
Attraction. If you hate the world, the world hates you
back.

So what do you have to do?

Learn to love your current situation. See all the
positive sides of life. Be enthusiastic. Love your
boss, your coworkers, your family, your friends, and
even strangers that you meet on the streets. It may
not be easy, but nothing is impossible with a strong
will power. Just don't fall in love so much that you
totally forget about your dreams.

Balance is the key. Dream and take some positive
action to move you toward your goals. Take it one
step at a time. But while you're slowly crawling into
the long journey to success, be patient and be as
enthusiastic as possible. Don't hurry up too much that
you totally forget how to enjoy life.

One fine day, you will finally attain what you have
always longed for. But when that day comes, don't
spit back on the face of those who belittled you
before.

Stay humble. Don't look down on others when you see
that you are becoming more successful than they are.
Help them. Inject your positive aura into their
personalities. When you give, you will yield back
equal or greater rewards.

Are you ready to begin the journey? Start it with
the courage and desire to improve your life. Survive
and go through it with persistence, enthusiasm, and
positive thinking. Finish it with a resounding bang
of accomplishment and with the desire to help others
succeed as well.

By aligning yourself accurately with what is real, you retrieve all of the life force you've invested in holding together false situations and relationships. This re-captured energy then attracts the goals you desire. In this universe what's congruent gets the energy. What's not congruent doesn't get the energy. Where aren't you being honest or accurate about some aspect of your life? What truth about your life is right now safe, timely, helpful, nurturing and liberating for you to acknowledge to yourself?

2. Act "outside the box"

All magic occurs beyond the boundaries of your current belief system. What obstacles lie between you and moving outside your "comfort zone?" Where could you let your vision for your life be more outrageous? More fun? More of what you really want?

3. Withdraw from collective mass consciousness

Step beyond general consensus to remove the limits of what's possible for you to have. Many people have changed society -- and had fun -- by doing "what couldn't be done." You can too. When you withdraw your energy field from the energy field of the tribal collective agreement, you can create outside that agreement. Be "in the world, but not of it." Where in your life could you step a little further outside of mass consciousness thinking?

4. Use the Law of Attraction: Energize what you love with gratitude

Our magnetic field of energy is always (all ways) attracting exactly what we need to create our heart's desires. Discover the ancient wisdom of multiplying what you have with deep thankfulness. As you pour the vibration of appreciation into the love, health, prosperity and joy that you already have, this vibration will magnetize more of the same to you. It's the physics of the Universe. What aspects of your life could you right now be genuinely grateful for?

5. Experience "concrete, physical" reality as energy

When we choose to experience so-called "solid" things as the vibrational energy -- fields of energy -- that they actually are, these aspects of our reality become infinitely more malleable and flexible in responding to our intentions. Where are you willing right now to open to experiencing your body -- and other people, conditions, animals, rocks, emotions -- as an energy field (life force/flow dynamic) rather than as fixed, static, solid objects?

6. Reclaim your Personal Power

Are you energizing ideas and activities and maintaining relationships that no longer serve you? When you choose to invest in those relationships and situations that do feed your dreams, you regain tremendous personal power. When you choose to call back your spirit from the people, ideas and activities that no longer serve you, you regain tremendous personal power to invest in those relationships and situations that do feed your dreams. What are you tolerating, avoiding or denying in your life right now? Where are you compromising, sacrificing or settling for something less than what you really want? Where could you invest your time, energy and attention that would really serve you?

7. Relax your grip on your belief system

When you release your vise grip on the rigid, fixed beliefs you inherited from society, the things can shift that need to shift for something new, fresh, wonderful and miraculous to happen to you. What are your beliefs about how life operates? How important are these beliefs to your survival, identity, reputation (need for approval) and sense of worth? In what areas of your life could you right now relax your need to control the exact functioning of the people and events around you?

8. Build Your Chi – Your Internal Life Force Energy

Our free attention, time and energy are the lifeblood of our ability to create and attract what we desire in life. The more we consciously manage and steward these natural assets, the more we can build a reservoir and reserve of miracle-producing power. Where could you be more accessible to energy-giving situations and people? Where could you be more inaccessible to energy-draining situations and people? How can you naturally and easily "build your internal life force chi" through activities that are fun for you? What in your life are you not experiencing as an adventure?

9. Connect directly with Spirit

Your soul is in charge of your life! Your spirit has been running the show from behind the stage curtain since the beginning of time. Open a direct line to the wonders, wisdom, support and guidance of your own brilliant soul plan. How do you mediate/pray? Is it as effective as you would like? Have you tried a moving meditation?

10. Align your personality with your soul

When you're aligned with your true intentions in being here this lifetime, prosperity flows automatically with no effort or doingness. Align your everyday lifestyle with your soul vision and receive all the support, energy and love you need—and begin to enjoy the ride! What actions could you take that would bring your life more in accord with your life purpose? What changes could you make to be more authentic in your life?

11. Allow yourself to receive from Spirit

The primary joy and purpose of our spirit friends -- the Ascended Masters, guardian angels, spirit guides, nature devas, spirit animals -- is to assist us to reach our life goals. Do you regularly ask for assistance, and let in love and energy from your other dimensional allies?

12. Embrace your Shadow

What you choose not to see, you can't change. What weaknesses, faults, fears and shortcomings do you feel you have -- socially, physically, spiritually, romantically, financially, sexually? Are you willing to open up to your soul's point of view on your so-called "dark side"?

13. Hang with people who nurture you

By your own pre-arranged conscious design, old soulmates deliver messages to you that trigger timely awareness, alchemy and awakening. What people and environments are not entirely safe, supportive or inspiring for you to be with? Where could you refuse to let another be reckless with your heart? Where could you be less reckless with another's heart? Where could you celebrate the success of others?

14. Listen to your body

Our body is a natural feedback system to keep us abreast of how well we are dealing with the pressures and demands of life. What lessons is your body reflecting to you? What wake-up calls from your body have you been denying? What's the weight you are carrying around? What's your body dying to tell you?

15. Follow the guiding signs and synchronicities Spirit gives you everyday

Our soul is always (all ways) trying to steer us toward our goals. We live in an interactive, responsive universe that is designed to fulfill our deepest dreams -- if we would only play along! Allow your intuition to guide you to the forms and vehicles that will empower your spirit to express fully. What messages and signals has the Universe been sending you that you have been ignoring, misinterpreting, or are afraid to act on?

16. Choose to be innocent (free) of the past: Welcome surprise and serendipity

Open the door to more magic, meaning and money in your world by learning to suspend skepticism and conditioned responses. Learn to surf through the surprises of life, instead of being swept away by them. Where could you approach your goals with more flexibility, openness and sense of play?

17. Feng-shui your life: Give yourself a "spaceshift"

Feng-shui is the ancient art of consciously managing matter and energy within space. By intuitively re-arranging the elements of your daily life, you create the space to nurture the freedom, opportunities and effectiveness you desire. By clearing out the old, dead elements of your life, you create a natural vacuum and an unblocked channel for fresh, new energy and ideas to come into your private and professional life. How could you unblock your energy now? Where can you re-arrange the ways you live your everyday life in a fresh, new, intuitive way?

18. Live your life as an experiment

Consider your life as the latest -- and greatest -- experiment by human consciousness to express Heaven on Earth -- or just to have fun playing in the 3rd dimension. Where could you lighten up, celebrate and have more humor in your approach to living?

Collaboration, Not Competition

The basic assumptions upon which traditional marketing approaches are built could use some updating. For example, what if we asked whether businesses actually have to compete for customers. Does that seem silly? The answer would be, "Of course, they do! What planet are you from? It’s a dog eat dog world—and it’s always been that way." But there may be an additional perspective, a way that can create a dramatic shift not just in the way business is done but in how we treat our customers and each other.

This is the perspective of collaboration, which implies that each of us is unique, that no two people are exactly the same. If no two people are exactly the same, then it stands to reason that no two businesses are exactly the same. It is simply not possible for two businesses to serve the same client's needs equally. One will be a better fit than another; the best fit produces a perfect client or customer working with the perfect provider.

Each of us, and the businesses we've joined or created, exist for a specific purpose or mission. Our businesses have developed as a result of our own experiences and needs, and are simply tools for fulfilling that mission. Each business has its own mission to serve a particular group of customers in a particular way. That is why businesses have no need to compete with each other in the way we’ve traditionally thought of it. Instead, business owners and managers could collaborate in ways that truly serve their customers' and their own interests.

If this sounds heretical, then it shows how deeply the concept of competition -- "survival of the fittest" -- colors our views of the way we do business.

Today, when consumers have an abundance of choice in products and distribution outlets, businesses can shine even brighter—and be of greatest service to themselves, their organization, their clients, and their communities—when they are knowledgeable about the products and services offered by other businesses in their own and related industries. Consumers value services that save them time, money and headaches. By becoming this type of resource through collaborating with others in your industry, you are increasing the overall abundance of products and services and will ultimately bring the greatest success to everyone.

Take a moment to contemplate the following questions, and write down your answers. These questions are designed for you to consider what might be possible for you and your business if you had at least one collaborator in your same industry.

1. Who in your same industry do you consider to be your main "competition?"

2. If you were not serving your customers, who would be serving them?

3. What services do these businesses offer that are the same as yours? Different from yours?

4. Have you ever referred one of your less-than-perfect customers to one of your "competitors?"

5. What would stop you from referring a less-than-perfect customer to one of your "competitors?"

6. Under what conditions would you refer a less-than-perfect customer to one of your "competitors?"

7. Do you belong to an association or organization dedicated solely to your industry?

8. If so, what benefits have you received as a result of your membership in that organization?

9. Who else do you know in your industry who belongs to this organization?

If you want to make a dramatically impressive difference in your business, we invite you to meet or speak with a new potential collaborator every day for the next 21 days. You will create quite a stir within your industry, you will have a greater breadth of knowledge about your industry than other businesses providing similar services, and your reputation for being open and collaborative will spread very quickly resulting in increased positive awareness and referrals.
